How to find what app version, device model, and OS version you've got

There are several reasons you may need to know which version of Cosafe you are running — for example, if you are troubleshooting an issue, contacting support, or checking that your device meets the requirements when older versions are no longer supported. This article shows you how to find your app version, device model, and operating system (OS) on all platforms.

On a mobile phone or tablet​

App version, device model, and operating system — directly in the app:

These steps apply to both iOS and Android:

  1. Open the Cosafe app.
  2. Tap the menu icon in the top right corner (the three lines).
  3. Tap View my profile.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page — here you will find your app version, device model, and OS version.

iOS (iPhone/iPad) — via the phone's settings​

If you need to find this information without opening the app:

Cosafe version:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Scroll down and tap General → iPhone Storage.
  3. Find and tap Cosafe in the list.
  4. The version number is displayed directly below the app name.

Device model and iOS version:

  1. Go to Settings → General → About.
  2. Here you will find:
    • Model Name — e.g. iPhone 15 Pro
    • Software Version — e.g. iOS 18.4

Android — via the phone's settings​

If you need to find this information without opening the app:

Cosafe version:

  1. Go to Settings on your Android device.
  2. Tap Apps (may also be called App Manager or Applications).
  3. Find and tap Cosafe in the list.
  4. The version number is displayed under App Info at the bottom of the page.

Device model and Android version:

  1. Go to Settings → About phone (may also be called About device).
  2. Here you will find:
    • Model Name — e.g. Samsung Galaxy S24 or Google Pixel 9
    • Android version — e.g. Android 15 (it might be under "software information".

On a computer (Cosafe Desktop)​

App version — directly in the app:

  1. Open the Cosafe Desktop app.
  2. Click the menu icon in the top right corner (the three lines).
  3. Click View my profile.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page — here you will find your app version.

Operating system and computer model:

  • Windows: Go to Settings → System → About. Here you can see your Windows version and device name.
  • macOS: Click the Apple menu (the apple icon in the top left corner) → About This Mac. Here you can see your macOS version and computer model.

Do you have the latest version?​

It is always a good idea to have the latest version of Cosafe installed for the best performance and security. Here is how to check if an update is available:

  1. Open the App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), or Microsoft Store (Windows) on your device.
  2. Search for Cosafe.
  3. Check the button next to the app:
    • Open — you already have the latest version installed.
    • Update — a new version is available. Tap the button to install it.

In some organisations, app updates are managed by the IT department. If you are unable to update the app yourself, contact your local IT support.
