Important settings for Windows 11
This guide is intended for users to configure essential settings on their Windows computer to ensure the Cosafe app functions optimally.
info
To hear the alarm signal on your computer, you MUST have the sound enabled and use the Cosafe Desktop App.
Notification settings on your PC
- Open Settings.
- Go to System.
- Select Notifications.
- Under Notifications, click the arrow to the right and enable:
- Allow notifications to play sound
- Show notifications on the lock screen
- Go to Set priority notifications and add Cosafe Desktop App.
- Go back to Notifications and scroll down to Notifications from apps and other senders.
- Tap on Cosafe Desktop App in the list.
- Enable the following for Cosafe:
- Notifications
- Show notification banners
- Show notifications in the notification center
- Allow Cosafe to send priority notifications when Do Not Disturb is on
(If you don’t see this option, proceed to the next step) - Play sound when a message arrives
- Set priority to Highest/Top
If Cosafe does not appear in the list Notifications from apps and other senders, your computer must first receive a notification from the app.
To do this, another user needs to send you a message in Cosafe while your app is closed (not actively open). Once a notification has been received, Cosafe will appear in the list.
