How to send a password reset email as an administrator

As an administrator, you can help a user reset their password by sending them a reset email directly from the admin panel, without them having to request it themselves. This is useful when you want to be able to assist end users quickly, even though users can also do this on their own.

1. Log in to the admin panel​

2. Go to Users​

  • In the left sidebar, click Users to see the list of registered users

3. Send the reset email​

  • Check the box next to the relevant user's name
  • Click More actions
  • Click Send reset password
tip

You can also right-click directly on the user and select Send reset password as a quicker shortcut.

What happens next​

The user receives an email with a link to reset their password, the same as if they had clicked "Forgot password?" on the login page.
