How to log out a user

As an administrator, you may sometimes need to remotely log out a user — for example, if they have lost their device or you need to secure their account.

Before you begin​

Make sure you have administrator access to the Cosafe admin panel. Only administrators can perform this action.

Instructions​

1. Log in to the admin panel​

2. Go to Users​

  • In the left sidebar, click Users
  • Ensure you are viewing the Enrolled users tab

3. Select the user​

  • Locate the user by using the search field or by scrolling
  • Check the box next to the user's name

4. Open Multi actions​

  • Click Multi actions above the user list

5. Log out the user​

  • Select Log out from the dropdown menu
  • Confirm by following the instructions on screen

What happens next​

Once confirmed, the user is immediately logged out of all their devices. They will need to log in again to continue receiving alarm signals and other notifications.

Tips

Let the user know they have been logged out so they can log back in without confusion — especially if it is due to a lost or stolen device.
