How login sessions work in Cosafe
Session Duration
A Cosafe login session lasts 365 days.
Each time you open the app, your session is automatically renewed.
A session means that you are authenticated and able to receive notifications — provided your device settings allow it.
If you do not open the app for 365 days, your session will expire and you will be logged out.
If you change your phone, you need to log into the Cosafe app on the new phone.
Users should always ensure they have an active session.
You can verify this by performing a test alarm regularly.
Why alarm tests are important
To ensure you always receive notifications, we recommend that you regularly test your alarm in the app.
- This confirms that your device has the correct settings.
- It ensures that notifications can be delivered reliably.
We recommend testing your alarm at least once every three months.
Session Expiry Reminders
Before your session expires, you will receive reminders to renew it:
- First reminder: 14 days before expiration
- Second reminder: 5 days before expiration
- Final reminder: 1 day before expiration
